Ups and Downs

What a roller coaster we're on right now.

Our God is mighty and His timing is perfect, and I'm trying SO hard to trust that He's got everything under control. I do know that in my head, but I once heard someone say, "It's a long way from your head to your heart." It does seem that way, but I desire to trust Him with every part of me. My longing for my child seems to overtake me at times, and I lose my perspective.

We found out today that we will most likely travel in January. I'm not going to call that the bad news because God can do whatever He wants regardless of the circumstances. I'm praying (and asking you to also) that He'll perform a miracle, and that we'll be able to bring our daughter home in December--before Christmas.

If the above had been bad news, I would call this the good news. We got an update on our daughter today with a new picture!! I'm dying to post it! She looks younger in this picture. In the others, her eyes looked so burdened--like they had lived a long time. Everyone that saw the other pictures told us she looked older than she was. The photo we got today is precious! Her eyes look young and happy. She knows she has a family now, and maybe that's part of the difference, but she has also been moved to a smaller home with other children who have families coming for them.

The note about her said that she is "sweet, obedient, affectionate, and happy."

It looks as though she's lost four more teeth. I was hoping to have her before she lost any more teeth. :(

So now we wait again on our mighty God. He can move a mountain...
