"God Has Heard"

My sweet hubby already had a trip to Africa scheduled when we learned of our precious Jadyn. Although his trip took him to the opposite side of the continent from our daughter, he took a few days to travel over and spend a day with her. This was such a blessing and quite obviously orchestrated by our sovereign God. You see, Darren had always limited his personal mission trips to Russia, but this year, the Lord unexpectedly directed him to Africa instead. He had no idea when he began to plan his trip that his daughter would be on the same continent.

The entire trip was awesome and life-changing for Darren, but the day he spent with our daughter was a gift to our entire family. We were all able to hear her sweet voice and to tell her that we love her. We heard her tell us that she loved us.

She said, "I love you , Mommy... God has heard."
('Jaden' is Hebrew for "God has heard" in case I haven't shared that.)

We learned that she loves pink and her favorite number is five. Darren said that she is a very happy child and extremely silly a lot of the time. They played and bonded all day. She sat in his lap for hours and they held hands most of the rest of the time. It was a wonderful day for both daddy and daughter that they will both treasure for a long time to come.

As of now, we are tentatively scheduled to travel to get Jadyn in January. We know that His timing is perfect, and He may very well bring Jadyn home to us in January. But our baby is in Africa, and we want her home now. We want to spend Christmas together. So we pray for His timing and His will while we hope that He brings her home earlier than scheduled.

Our God is mighty to save, and He has heard.

In His Mighty Grip,
Holly

Okay, I'm a puddle over here after reading this post. God is so good and we'll be praying with you for Jadyn to come home as quickly as possible.
