Well, we are only 13 days out from hopping on a plane that will take us to The People's Republic of China, and we couldn't be more ready to go! Well--okay--physically, yes, we could definitely be more ready, but we are so anxious to get our hands on our new, precious angel--we can hardly stand it.
What do we have left to do? Well...let's see....Dh has seminary class work to finish up. We need to get the crib that was so generously given to us cleaned(it's been in our garage) and set up; get the girls' closet reconfigured so that two people's clothes will (hopefully) fit into it; get and set up a chest of drawers for Megan; set up a changing station; get all clothes washed and packed; start strategically weeding out what won't fit in suitcases; pick up kids' antibiotic prescriptions (in case they get sick in China); buy the last few things we'll need for the trip; return stuff that we're not going to need; gather and pack all important adoption and travel documentation; and do a thorough housecleaning......That's all I can think of right off the top of my head. Of course, we also have all of our regularly scheduled activities as well as 3 to 4 doctor/dentist appointments and 1 field trip scheduled in the next 12 days. I guess I'd better get off my blog and get busy!!!
I do have a prayer request. We have recently been informed that the babies coming out of Megan's orphanage have elevated lead levels. I ask you to intercede for our girl, and pray that God will protect her from the lead that is apparently in her current environment. Also, I ask that you lift up the other children in the area(orphans and otherwise) who will not be leaving that environment. From what I understand, the orphanage director has been made aware of the problem but has been unable to locate a source of the lead.
In His Grip...

Megan and the other children will definitely be in my prayers. Take one day at a time -- I know everything will come together. I also know that God is and will continue to be glorified in this wonderful new chapter in your lives.
