Mid-Week Report

Greetings from China!

Today we went to a rural village to see a different part of the culture and also shopped at some porcelain stores. Every activity is optional and we have all of the free time we want. We will fly to Guangzhou tomorrow for the last leg of our journey and be roughing it at a 5 star hotel filling our time with paperwork, sightseeing and shopping. Please pray for Megan as she was running a fever today. Right now, she is smiling and playing with the kids on the bed.

We went to Wal-Mart the other day and were surprised to recognize so many American product labels. There are 1.3 billion people in China and half of them were at Wal-Mart. We are able to buy everything we need but having some Mexican food withdrawal issues.

While our group activities are on a nice bus, there are plenty of taxis for me to run out to the store and there are many things within walking distance. The Chinese people seem to be very nice and hardworking. They have been very kind and doting to our kids.

Press On,
The Dad
