We're in China!

We made it to Beijing!! Thank you so much for your prayers--we certainly felt them! It was a long day of travel that began at 5 am our time and included a four hour layover in the San Francisco airport as well as about 15 hours of actual flying. We were all able to get a little bit of sleep on the plane. The kids were able to watch one movie before the battery on my dad's portable DVD player ran out. The screens in the plane were far away, very small and not positioned so that the kids could see them , so we were a bit disappointed that we were not able to pass time watching movies. They did remarkably well, however, and we are all excited to finally be on Chinese soil. We still have a couple of days full of sightseeing, and then it's off to the next province to receive our beloved new daughter!!!

So relieved to hear you have safely arrived. I will certainly be looking forward to all the accounts of your trip. I hope everyone gets a great night's sleep and is well rested for all the things to do and see your first couple of days there.

Shi Shi Ne (thank you in Mandarin) for letting us be a part of this process. This will be a great resource for me and my wife. We should be going in December.

We will keep you in our prayers for safe travel and for all to go smoothly.
